Another important search engine that is greatly utilized by webmasters and marketers is the PPC search engine.   This is a Pay Per Click search engine that is provided by the four major search engines Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask search engines as well as other search engines.  Through the PPC search engine campaign the webmaster purchases an allotted amount of clicks to his web site.  He may be charged anywhere from .05 a click on up, depending on the selection and popularity of the choice of keyword or keywords.  When an Internet user enters a search into their Internet browser the advert for their website will come up typically in the right hand side of the index listing next to the top ten results.  The webmaster will then only pay if his site is clicked on.  This is a favorite of every marketer and an excellent way to produce quality customers and increase sales.

FTP search engines or File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a network protocol used to manipulate and exchange files over the internet protocol computer network such as internet. The client-server architecture is used to make the file transfer protocol. It utilizes separate data and control connections for the client and server applications. Client applications used to be interactive command-line tools which had standardized command syntax. Today, however, graphical user interfaces are available for all operation systems (OS).

FTP is also utilized as a component of application to transfer files automatically for internal functions of a program. Users can enable passwords on their FTP servers. The control stream is not used when the data stream is sending data across. This causes problems, especially when enormous data is being transferred through various firewalls with time out sessions after prolonged idle periods. While a file might be transferred successfully, the control stream gets terminated by the firewall, generating an error. FTP allows resumption of any downloads that have been interrupted by the help of REST command. Client server passes the bytes that have already been received to the REST command as an argument, allowing the transfer to be restarted. There are other commands such as ‘reget’ that allow the interrupted ‘get’ commands to be continued, after they suffer a communication interruption.

It is not as simple to resume uploads. While the APPE command is supported by FTP protocol, the client is not aware of the exact point where the communication was lost. It then needs to obtain the file size in some other way, such as a directory listing or the SIZE command. Resuming transfers is most troublesome in ASCII mode if the server and client are using different end of line characters.

The FTP is inherently insecure mode of transferring data as there is no means of sending the data in an encrypted code. This means that all the commands such as usernames, passwords etc can be tracked by anyone using a packet sniffer. This problem is common to most internet protocol commands written before SSL was created such as SMTP, HTTP and Telnet. The best solution is to use FTPS (FTP over SSL), or SFTP (SSH file transfer protocol).

Search engine optimization will be the icing on the Internet marketing cake.  This is the door which opens the entire world of Internet users to your doorstep.  It could literally take you from a small businessperson to a huge businessperson.  It is mandatory to achieve high rankings in the search engines.  This is something that if you are dedicated or have outside help will definitely happen.
