Internet marketing site depends on developing a site map that is a search engine friendly site. A sitemap can be defined as a list of pages on the website. A HTML sitemap is constructed both for search engines and human users, and XML site map is basically designed for search engines only. In order to ensure that robots visit the pages developing an overall accurate sitemap is mandatory. Some tools like Content Syndication and RSS establishes a site’s credibility and creates awareness in the social web. E-Mail marketing providers, building an e-mail database, e-mail frequency, graphics, social media and such technological developments establish credibility and drive traffic back to the site.

Today, search engines look more favorably on video content. Site structure is a vital aspect of SEO since the Internet marketing site if designed poorly and does not possess links to all pages then the robots will bypass those pages and only report on what it identifies. Website owners who design their sites with Flash or use images in place of text are invisible to search engine robots as they cannot accurately read Flash or the text embedded in the image.

The page structure is the next important aspect of the Internet marketing site. The vital elements on each page require attention and to understand the concept, it is necessary to have a basic knowledge of HTML. This is the language that web browsers and search engine robots / spiders can read and interpret. The Meta keywords and description tags are located in the “Head” section of HTML page. They provide the search engine some “help” in determining what the web page is all about. SEO also depends on the navigability, linking structure as well as proper use of header tags, fonts and colors, etc.

Re-writing dynamic URLs is another factor required for developing Internet marketing site that is search engine friendly. The majority of on-line stores, forums and blogs or some database-driven sites have pages with unclear URLs where the general web user cannot comprehend the product or article highlighted in the web pages. The robots also find it difficult to understand such unfamiliar and unclear URLs. Primarily, the “static URLs” are more user friendly sites and even search engines appreciate them more. Studies have revealed that using “static URLs” have registered a phenomenal growth rate in web traffic (an increase of over 20%).

All pay per click search engines is ranked by the bid price the client is willing to disburse. However, in this context, Google takes into account the Ad relevance and prefers those Ads with a higher click through rates. The client is permitted to create numerous Ad campaigns, segregate the Ads into specific keyword clusters and bid on as many keywords as their budget allows. By measuring the on-line response to a product, Google obtains key data that helps the search engines to improve the results being returned to the clients.

To make URLs appear search-friendly, an .HT Access file, which is a text file, could be used in the websites. However, writing an .HT Access file should be left to Webmasters as its composition requires special knowledge. Re-writing “dynamic URLs” is another way of making search engine robots visit the site, hence in such cases, before creating an Internet marketing site, it is advisable to use the URL re-write tools or take assistance from Webmasters.
